Christian’s research focuses on socioeconomic inequalities in colorectal cancer screening uptake. This programme of work has included an emphasis on public understanding of cancer screening, engagement with information and invitation materials, attitudes and preferences towards the different testing modalities and the acceptability and patient experience of participation in colorectal cancer screening. He has led several research studies on methods to increase participation in bowel cancer screening programs including within-program randomised trials.
